A state-of-the-art WIV newbuild with specialised feeder vessels

A pioneering new vessel design

Currently under construction in Singapore by Seatrium, the Maersk Wind Installation Vessel design includes a patented load-transfer technology, engineered to radically improve the efficiency of offshore wind farm installations.

The jacking units, load transfer system and crane will be provided by NOV, and the design work has been supported by class society ABS.

The vessel will be delivered in 2025.

Customer-built feeder vessels

Maersk Offshore Wind has partnered with Edison Chouest Offshore for the construction of a purpose-built windfarm feeder spread, specifically designed for high-efficiency pairing with the Maersk Wind Installation Vessel newbuild.

This custom-built feeder spread includes two tugs and two barges, both U.S.-flagged, that will be owned and operated by Edison Chouest and constructed by Bollinger Shipyards.
